Join us for a Death Café facilitated by Susan O’Connor, an experienced, retired funeral director with decades of firsthand experience in the death care industry.
Susan has spent her career guiding families through some of life’s most profound moments, offering insight into end-of-life care, funeral practices, and the evolving landscape of the industry. In addition to her work as a funeral director, Susan has served as a Trainer for Dignity Memorial Providers and was a member of the New York State Funeral Directors Association Family Assistance Commission. Drawing from this extensive professional background, she will provide an accessible overview of how the death care industry works, demystifying common misconceptions and shedding light on what happens behind the scenes.
This informal gathering is designed to encourage open, respectful conversation. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in thoughtful discussion about death, dying and the choices we all face.
Light refreshments will be served.
The event is free to attend.* Registration is required as seating is limited.
*Any donations received will be contributed to the Dutchess County SPCA.
